[MEI-L] Encoding staff lines

Thank you for all your answers. I will stay with <sb> combined with  
<ulx> etc., I think, and will write a short paragraph about the  
problem in my thesis. After all, this is what I try to figure out:  
where are the limits at the moment?

One big thing that always irritates me is that my source is not  
"perfectly" scanned in, so the staff lines are not leveled, which  
leads to gaps inside the boxes. Of course I could change that by  
editing the facsimile, but then it would not be  a source anymore...  
Maybe it is a little bit to far, I just ask out of curiosity: Would it  
be much work to add <urx>, <ury>, <llx> and <lly> to give the  
possibility of non-leveled boxes?
