Hi Perry,
hi all,

thanks for the helpful material! As luck would have it the digital 
mediavalist list had called for votes on an amendment to its byelaws 
just as I was finishing the proposal 
(http://digitalmedievalist.wordpress.com/2014/06/04/dm-byelaws-vote/). A 
couple of changes I included were inspired by these. And I fully agree 
with Perry, that we should try to formalize our "constitution" in a 
similar way.
