Dear all,
It's a great pleasure for me to inform you that the Einstein Foundation Berlin has agreed funding the research project "Giuseppe Sarti - A Cosmopolitan Composer in Pre-Revolutionary Europe" including an MEI based edition of his Italian operas "Fra i due litiganti il terzo gode" and "Giulio Sabino". The project starting in early 2013 will be a cooperation with Dörte Schmidt (University of the Ars Berlin) and Bella Brover Lubovsky (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) who will write a monograph and provide a critical edition of Sarti's Russian opera "Oleg". We will - of course - work closely together with our Detmold colleagues.
