[asv-vorstand] Incidence of attack by a fellow tenant | 2nd time | Request to Action

Dear Kevin,

A fellow tenant of the student resident building Peter-Hille-Weg 13, named Cengizhan Berke Sen (resident of E-005) attacked me on the university campus on June 12th 2024.

This is in relation to an earlier altercation with the same person which happened on May 16th that was reported to you by Asma Baig. On the first incident, the said person was abusing and threatening the two international students (girls), who happened to have reported this about this person to ASV. During the said incident, I happened to be there when Cenghizan rang the bell. The girls went into panic attack on seeing him out of the door from the pinhole. I being there, opened the door to coordinate, but this person started abusing me right away. I said “Calm down!” to which this person held my arm and twisted it, still abusing me and the girls. The girls called the police and all three of us registered our complaints. The police was, however, not helpful at all.

The current incident (alarmingly threatening one) happened on the university campus when I was walking on Broder-Carstensen-Weg towards of Peter-Hille-Weg, after attending a meeting from AStA. This person, with a companion, stopped me on the way, held my hand for a handshake and then started crushing my hand while abusing me and threatening to kill me. I tried to get his grip off, he continued abusing and hit me on my forehead that made my spectacles got thrown, and injured my forehead and eye. Then he pushed me to the ground and kicked me with his knee multiple times, insisting on his intentions to kill me. After releasing myself from his grip, I ran back to AStA office and got the incidence reported to security and police, and then proceeded to hospital.

I am concerned about my life and this guy seems to hate me to the extent that he wants to kill me. Same is the case with the girls who are living in fear now that he has attacked me even after registering the complaint with police. His actions have a racist tendencies behind which were clear in his abuses in these 2 incidents, and his past actions.

I request StuWe to take this matter with extreme urgency and importance to ensure my, and other resident’s safety. Presence of this person in the premises of my residential space, who is openly committing to kill me, and has also attacked me twice, has messed up my mental and physical well being due to associated stress.
