[MEI-L] MEI Development / ODD Thursday on Feb 27

Dear all,

During our last ODD Friday, a group of MEI Tech people discussed how to proceed with MEI development. We basically agreed that we should try to resolve the remaining documentation issues for MEI v4 by the end of March, and then re-allow development of the MEI schema itself. Over the past year, we've made significant progress on re-aligning the Guidelines with the specs, and while there are some remaining issues, it seems contra-productive to further delay improvements of the schema. This means that we have another six weeks to address these remaining issues. 

On February 27, 1pm GMT, we plan to have an extra MEI "ODD Thursday", to discuss this work. The next regular "ODD Friday" will be on March 27, 1pm GMT. 

We would like to encourage people to help with the remaining work. If you can afford a couple of hours over the next few weeks to support MEI, please get in touch with me. Also, we have the (loose) plan to again provide a PDF version of the Guidelines in the future,  as this seems to offer wider recognition, and thus helps to justify an investment of time. If someone could assist on this, please get in touch as well. The upcoming weeks will be pretty dense, but together, we should be able to make another huge step forward.
