That’s a sensible approach. Up until this point the focus of the project has been building a website to house the various composers and works. I will follow your approach now for the next phase, which is making the works interactive.

This becomes the 'test' file for your post-processes, and also becomes the 'model' file for your editors. Our routines are designed around the needs of Renaissance music. Yours might need to be different (but can make use of the same concepts, such as color highlights or alternative staves, or special articulations, etc, that are in turn transformed during the processing stage to the final MEI encoding you prefer).

Verovio (which was not available at the time) is much better in many respects, and we are now using it in the Citations Project <https://dev.crimproject.org/relationships/145/>.

Some of the team members are using Sibelius to notate the music in staff notation and I'm then using SibMEI to convert to MEI. The issue though is that the conversion is not completely accurate and I need to further edit the XML. What I'm struggling with is finding the best tools to do so. There is a plugin for Oxygen that I'm trying to get to work, but to no avail.
