Hello everyone,

Registration is now open to the MEI Autumn Working Meeting, October 30–November 2, 2018 at the Oxford e-Research Centre, University of Oxford. Registration is free, but space is limited so you must register so we can gauge the number of participants. PLEASE only register if you are coming.

Registration form:

We are also gauging interest in 'virtual participation'. If you cannot make it in person but would like to try and arrange some time to participate via video conference, please sign-up, ensuring you check the 'virtual participation' checkbox on the registration form.

The Music Encoding Initiative Board has made available a limited amount of funds to help reduce the costs of travel for some participants. Please indicate on the form if you would like to be considered for this.

Logistics:

If you are flying in from Heathrow, there is a bus from Heathrow Central Bus Station or Terminal 5 that will bring you to the centre of town.

If you are coming in via London, you can take trains to Oxford from either Paddington or Marylebone Stations. You can find timetables and tickets here:

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk

You can get cheaper tickets if you purchase them in advance. The longer you wait, the more expensive they get.

Accommodation is very limited in the town centre, and can be quite expensive. You should book it as far in advance as you can. Some (cheaper) college rooms may be available on the University Rooms website:

Venue & Schedule:

The Oxford e-Research Centre can be found at:

7 Keble Rd,
Oxford
OX1 3QG, UK

The schedule for the days will be fairly relaxed. We will aim to start at 9:30 on Tuesday October 30, and probably go until 17:00 each day. Snacks and hot/cold drinks will be provided, but meals are on your own. There are good places to eat close to the e-Research Centre, either for coffee and sandwich, or for more discerning palates, and the centre of town is only a few blocks away.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Oxford in October! Please get in touch with any questions or concerns.
