Dear Colleagues,
I am happy to announce that 
The 2015 Music Encoding Conference, the pre-conference workshops and the Hack/SIG Day, will take place in the Sala Comparetti of the Humanities Library (“Biblioteca Umanistica”) of the University of Florence, Florence, Italy. The library is situated in the very historical center of Florence (piazza Brunelleschi 2, zip code 50121), at walking distance from the Duomo (5 minutes), Piazza San Marco (5 minutes) and the “Santa Maria Novella” main train station (12 minutes).

Florence is served by two airports: the Amerigo Vespucci aiport (FLR), and the Galileo Galilei airport in Pisa (PSA), 80 km far from Florence, easily connected to the city center by coach.
