[MEI-L] Google Code deprecating downloads

GitHub has “Releases” which allows you to download a copy of the code in either tar.gz or .zip format.

For example, we have a number of releases for Diva.js:

https://github.com/DDMAL/diva.js/releases

The only issue with this is that it’s a bit hidden, and not very obvious to non-developer types. A possible solution would be to post the “canonical” link to the released .zip file on the music-encoding website.

Still, doesn't github require the use of a tarball for downloadables? Ugh. That places too large a burden on a person of non-developer-type persuasion who just wants to get the PDF of the Guidelines or someone like me who just wants to point to a web-accessible copy of one of the schemas in MEI documents.
