[MEI-L] Release of MEISE 1.0

Dear MEI-List,

I am happy to announce the first official release of the MEI Score 
Editor (MEISE) as standalone version on SourceForge.
Requirements for the application are an installed Java Runtime 
Environment (JRE) in version 6 and a computer that is running Windows 
(XP and above), Linux (tested on Ubunto 10.04 and above) or Mac 10.5 
(intel only) and above. You will find guidance for your first steps in 
the MEISE on Sourceforge 
(http://sourceforge.net/p/meise/wiki/Quickstart%20MEISE/). Sourceforge 
also offers bugtracking and the subversion repository with the current 
source code. MEISE is released under the LGPL 3.0.

Since I will be leaving the MEI project by the end of May, the further 
development will be assigned to Niko Beer at the Musikwissenschaftliches 
Seminar in Detmold. If you have additional questions about using MEISE 
or its development, you may also contact Johannes Kepper 
(kepper at edirom.de).

work atmosphere during my work at this project.
