The only solution I see is to allow model.transcriptionLike inside <chord>.  I'll add an issue in the tracker.

I wanted to encode a deleted note within a chord:

<chord>
<note/>
<del><note/></del>
<note/>
       <note/>
<chord/>

And I wondered that this is not allowed, while encoding deleted notes within a beam for instance,
seems to be no problem.

Are there any other solutions or ideas?
