[MEI-L] Drum notation, or...?

Ah! Thanks Andrew and Craig.

I've never come across it before. Ok, it makes sense, but is it just me or
is that all a semitone up compared to the notation below?

Any suggestions for encoding this in MEI? I'd think the only way at the
moment is by adding directions on top of notes, but it doesn't sounds great.
