ETFA 2019 is the 24th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics
Society (IES) focusing on the latest developments and new technologies in
the field of industrial and factory automation. It is the premier
conference of the IEEE IES Technical Committee on Factory Automation
(TCFA). The conference aims to disseminate novel ideas and emerging trends,
research results and practical achievements.

September 10, 2019 is the Forum and Workshop Day at ETFA'2019. Three
different forums will be organized: (1) Industry Day Forum, will offer an
opportunity to exchange views with researchers and practitioners from
academia and industry; (2) Student and Young Professionals Forum accepting
communications showing advances and results of the youngest researchers who
carry out their PhD theses, as well as end-of-degree or master’s projects
and (3) Women in Engineering Forum will tackle the keys that are seen as a
barrier against the significance of Women in Engineering, meaning both
their numerosity and the relevance of the positions that women can reach
during their career. Furthermore, three Workshops have been accepted: (1)
Workshop on Secure and Trustable Wirelessly Connected Industrial IoT; (2)
Workshop on Formal Techniques for Real-Time Systems (FORTRESS) and (3)
Workshop on Advanced Technologies in Industrial Vehicular Systems
(DIVERSE).

CONFERENCE VENUE:

The ETFA 2019 conference will take place in Zaragoza, a warm, lively and
historical city, capital of the Aragon Region, in NE Spain. The city was
founded under Roman emperor Caesar Augustus around 14 BC and offers a host
of historical sights covering its Roman, Islamic and Christian epochs.
Nowadays it is the fifth city in Spain with 650,000 habitants, a great
nightlife and some of the best tapas bars in the world.
