[asv-vorstand] Request for a Buddy - Carol Berlin Maria - MSc Physics (Summer Semester 2025)

Dear ASV Team,

My name is *Carol Berlin Maria*, and I am an incoming *MSc Physics* student
for the Summer Semester 2025. I am from India (Kerala) and will be arriving
in Germany by March 25th. I am very excited about joining Paderborn
University and would love to be part of the Buddy Program!

I would appreciate a buddy who can help me get familiar with student life,
guide me with university procedures, and maybe even introduce me to social
and networking events. Here are a few areas where I would love some support,

Arrival & Directions: I don’t need airport pickup, but it would be great to
receive guidance on how to reach the university and my accommodation.

Housing Assistance: I have applied for campus housing and am still on the
waitlist. While I plan to find a temporary place through the WG app, any
help in understanding my campus housing status or checking out potential
accommodations (if a video tour isn’t possible) would be highly appreciated.

German & English Buddy: Since I am a beginner in German, I’d love to have a
buddy who speaks both German and English to help me practice.

University Procedures: I have an Expatrio blocked account and TK health
insurance. I’d appreciate step-by-step guidance on setting them up properly
after my arrival.

Campus & Social Life: I’m eager to explore campus activities, events, and
student meetups. If my buddy is interested and available, I’d love to join
them in discovering what the university has to offer.

I am flexible and excited to meet new people, so I would be happy with any
buddy assigned to me. Looking forward to hearing from you!
