Examples of EBS include graphical user interfaces (GUIs), web applications, mobile applications, network protocols, embedded software, web services, device drivers, and IoT systems.</div><div>One of the key properties of EBS is the simplified, implicit interaction between components that is based on the exchange of events. The interaction is limited to one component publishing an event that can be received by one or more other components, with no inherent coordination, continuation or context preservation. Due to the loose coupling and the implicit interaction between its components, event-based systems may be highly scalable and easy to evolve, but at the same time they can be more difficult to test and debug. Effective strategies, techniques and tools are needed for addressing all the critical aspects of EBS testing and their effectiveness should be experimented with different types of EBS. </div><div><br></div><div>Topics:</div><div>* Web and Web Service Testing</div><div>* Mobile Testing</div><div>* EBS Mutation Testing</div><div>* EBS Test Coverage Analysis</div><div>* EBS Testing Tools and Environments</div><div>* Test Patterns for EBS</div><div>* Model Based Testing of EBS</div><div>* EBS Regression Testing</div><div>* GUI Based Testing of EBS</div><div>* Testing of Embedded EBS</div><div>* Performance, Robustness and Security testing of EBS</div><div>* Industrial Experiences with EBS Automated Testing</div><div>* Experimentation and Benchmarking in EBS Testing</div><div>* Dynamic analysis for reverse engineering of EBS systems</div><div><br></div><div>Paper submission</div><div><br></div><div>We solicit novel papers related to testing (functional, non-functional, security) of EBS, or on the topic of benchmarking. Papers should be of one of the following types:</div><div><br></div><div>* Research paper (8 pages)</div><div>* Position paper (4 pages)</div><div>* Tool demo paper (4 pages)</div><div>* Industry presentations (2 pages overview and 2 example slides)</div><div><br></div><div>Each paper in the first three categories (full, position and demo) will be reviewed by at least three referees. Papers should be submitted as PDF files in standard ACM two-column conference format (Latex, Word). Industrial presentations are submitted in the form of a 2-page overview and 2 sample presentation slides as pdf files. They will be evaluated by at least two members of the Program Committee for relevance and soundness. Papers accepted for the workshop will appear in the ACM digital library, providing a lasting archived record of the workshop proceedings. Papers will be submitted through EasyChair. </div><div><br></div><div>The authors of the best papers will be invited to submit extended versions for a special issue of scientific journal. </div><div><br></div><div>Important dates</div><div><br></div><div>* Workshop papers submission July 15th, 2017, 23:59 (anywhere in world)</div><div>* Workshop papers notification August 5, 2017</div><div>* Workshop papers camera-ready September 2, 2017</div><div><br></div><div>Organization</div><div><br></div><div>* Ana C.
