The Enterprise Model Analysis Workshop at EDOC 2014<br>

</small></small></big></big></big></b>The Enterprise Model
Analysis (EMA) workshop aims discussing research and open issues
related to the analysis of enterprise architecture models.
Model-based analysis assists understanding and communicating the
complex relationships within an architectural model or between
multiple models. It also contributes to the assessment of the value
of an enterprise model and to support the overall decision making
process. Different analysis techniques apply to enterprise
architecture, such as functional, structural, quantitative, and
qualitative analysis, which rely on information within the
architectural models or on layers of additional information that
relate to the models. Model analysis is also a means to understand
the large volume of structured and unstructured data within an
organization that needs to be processed before it becomes a
value-adding asset. As such, combining large scale data management
with a model-driven approach towards enterprise engineering
contributes to (1) facilitate the analysis, contextualization,
communication and visualization of heterogeneous enterprise data;
(2) assess the quality and conformance analysis of models according
to the data and vice-versa; and (3) manage enterprise models that
make use of large scale structured and unstructured data. The
primary goal of the EMA workshop is therefore discussing the role of
model analysis in the discipline of enterprise engineering.<br>
<br>
The EMA workshop will be held on the 1st or 2nd of September 2014 in
Ulm, Germany, as part of the EDOC 2014 conference. The main theme of
EDOC 2014 is about the challenges of Big Data in the context of
enterprise computing. EDOC 2014 will be held between the 1st and 5th
of September 2014.<br>

<big><big><b>Paper Submission Guidelines</b><b><br>
</b></big></big>The EMA workshop accepts two types of papers:<br>
- Full papers (8-10 pages) reporting either (1) scientific research
results, or (2) case studies, and<br>
- Short position papers (4-5 pages) discussing research avenues,
controversial ideas or research projects still under development.<br>
<br>
Submissions must conform to the two-column paper format guidelines
of IEEE Computer Society Conference Proceedings. Papers must be
submitted as PDF files using EasyChair (<b><a
class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ema2014">http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ema2014</a></b>)
and will be refereed by at least two members of the EMA
international program committee.<br>
<br>
The papers accepted for the EDOC 2014 Workshops will be published by
the IEEE Computer Society Press and included in the IEEE Xplore and
the IEEE Computer Society Digital Library. At least one of the
authors of each accepted paper must register for the EDOC main
conference and present the paper at the workshop. The IEEE reserves
the right to exclude a paper from distribution if a paper is not
presented.<br>
<br>
We are planning to invite the authors of the best papers to prepare
a revised and extended version of their work for publication in a
special journal issue.<br>
