<div dir="ltr"><div dir="auto"><div dir="ltr"><div id="m_-1180791058036356170m_7466143296457834370m_-1074349287782987693m_4269932613367550522gmail-:1o5" aria-label="Message Body" role="textbox" aria-multiline="true" style="direction:ltr;min-height:85px" aria-controls=":1qt" aria-expanded="false"><div dir="auto"><p dir="ltr">Greetings,</p><p style="text-align:left">I, Nabaditya Bose, am a student at University of Paderborn since October 2023 and have been residing at Vogeliusweg 28.1.1.2 till August 2024, which is when my housing contract (no. 674326) expired. I would like to bring your attention to the details involving the refund of the accommodation deposit. </p><p style="text-align:left">Firstly, I would like to point out that I was asked to sign a blank "Mitteilung über erfolgte Abnahme" form and fill in the bank details by the Huasmeister. On the inspection day (30th August 2024), they had come in a hurry, checked everything in my room and the common spaces, then asked me to sign the above mentioned form and hand over the keys. They did not provide me with a copy of the form or even asked to click a picture of the same. It was on 9th December when Studierendenwerk shared with me the form upon asking for clarification for the basis of the deductions that they have made. So essentially I got to see the remarks which were made in the form, on the 9th of December. </p><p style="text-align:left">I was astounded to see that I was being charged for the painter fee and cleaning fee, because the hausmeister did not raise any concern during the last inspection. He did not mention any need of repainting the walls, nor did he mention any issues with the cleanliness of the apartment. Therefore it was my expectation that there would be no deduction apart from the usual (if any). </p>
<p dir="ltr" style="text-align:left">From the enclosed form, it can be seen that repainting and cleaning with charge has not been marked but still I am being charged for these.</p><p dir="ltr" style="text-align:left">Secondly, the kitchen and bathroom floor were already in poor condition when I had moved in, which the hausmeister was notified of during previous visits. The kitchen and bathroom floors and even the lobby area were cleaned before handing over the keys and no issues were raised by the hausmeister on the last day regarding cleaning. </p><p dir="ltr" style="text-align:left">Lastly, the standard refund duration has been exceeded. We were notified that the refund would be done within 6-8 weeks. But 12 weeks have already passed and I was just notified about the details associated with the refund of the deposit. </p><p>Kindly look into this matter and do the needful.
